Like so many others, our home in Toms River, NJ was severely damaged by Super Storm Sandy.  We decided early in the repair process that we wanted elevate our home so we wouldn’t be displaced in the future.  We had a friend who put us in contact with Penn Jersey Development Company.

From the minute Gerry showed up, we knew we had made the right decision.  He made a detailed evaluation of the existing condition of our home and what would be required to elevate it.  While we were anxious about pricing, he asked us to be patient so he may prepare a detailed estimate specific to our home.  He didn’t want us to have any surprises at the end.  He presented us with a fair estimate for the completion of the elevation and we also contracted to have additional work done.  Throughout the project we had a constant open line of communication between us, Gerry and Jay.  They were always available to answer our questions and assist us through the process.  The elevation took place on a Sunday morning, and Gerry and Jay were both on site to ensure the process went smoothly.  After the our home was set on the new foundation, Gerry provided us with ideas for finishing the foundation to ensure that our newly elevate home didn’t look like an extremely tall ranch with a plain block foundation.

At the completion of the project, as promised there were no surprises.  The entire job was completed early and on budget.  Both Gerry and Jay have continued to make themselves available to answer questions.

Our family is extremely satisfied with Penn Jersey Development Company.  Their customer service is fantastic and the work was fantastic.  We could not have asked for a more supportive and people-friendly company to assist us during such a trying time in our lives.

Now that life has slowed down a bit, we wanted to send you a quick note letting you know how happy we were with our house lift.  Although we had a few issues with the mason (before Larry stepped up and resolved them all), we could not have been happier with how easy this process went.  Each issue/question we had was addressed immediately and handled professionally.

It was reassuring to have you and Jay at our house each day.  It showed us that you truly take pride in your company.

Jay also went above and beyond helping us get through this.  His knowledge and experience was greatly appreciated as we were making decisions on finishing our home.  Working with Ken was also a pleasant experience.  As he was working on getting our permits, he kept us informed and included each step of the way.

We are writing this letter to let you know how pleased we are with the service provided by your company, Jay Mizrachi and his contractors.

While it has been a very long year, your team made the last two months more bearable and proceed very smoothly. Once we made the decision to lift our house, Jay Mizrachi was totally available to us and worked very hard to get the project moving. There were so many challenges with our project but Jay and the team addressed them head on and at no time shied away from the project or looked for short cuts to get around problems. Jay was always on site to make sure that the project was moving forward and solved any problems as they came up.

Working with Jeremy Patterson of Ducky Johnson was also a great experience. He and his team also went head on into the project and worked efficiently and enthusiastically even in the worst of weather conditions. They were always very polite and willing to answer questions and offered suggestions. They worked efficiently and were careful to keep the work site as safe as possible and cleaned up after themselves.

Also, Larry and the team from L&J Custom Concrete were great. They too worked in challenging weather conditions, were very neat in their work habits and made sure they kept the area clean and safe. They were always very friendly, would answer questions or explain what they were doing and went out of their way to help us when we needed some things moved around the yard. I would consider working with Larry and his team in the future.
